This bundle has been curated by Novara Media’s team for those who want to build upon or deepen their knowledge of Palestine’s history. Whether you want to help educate yourself or a friend on the start of their reading journey or dive deeper into a mosaic of stories preserving Palestine’s history, this bundle is an illuminating companion spanning testimonies, art, frontline reporting and historical analysis.

Each book in this collection has been extensively featured in Novara Media’s journalism, whether through the live fundraiser we hosted to support the launch of Gaza: The Story of a Genocide, or  Ahmed Alnaouq and Ilan Pappé’s respective Downstream interviews.

Gaza: The Story of a Genocide - edited by Fatima Bhutto & Sonia Faleiro

An urgent and powerful collection of personal testimony, poetry, art, and frontline reportage. Together, these works bear witness to the vast and ongoing destruction inflicted on the Palestinian people—their lives, their land, and their future.

With contributions from recipients of the Palestine Book Award, Arab American Book Award, Pulitzer Prize, Emmy Award, National Book Award, and Gandhi Peace Award, this collection also honours the late poet Hiba Abu Nada—killed in an Israeli airstrike on her home in Khan Younis, Gaza, on October 20, 2022.

We Are Not Numbers: The Voices of Gaza’s Youth - Ahmed Alnaouq & Pam Bailey

This collection spotlights the lived experiences of young Gazans growing up under Israeli occupation and blockade. This vital, urgent and heartful collection offers unparalleled insight into the past by shining a light on the voices of Gaza’s youth.

Lobbying for Zionism on Both Sides of the Atlantic - Ilan Pappé

Ilan Pappé unveils how over a century of aggressive lobbying changed the map of the Middle East. Pro-Israel lobbies convinced British and American policymakers to condone Israel’s flagrant breaches of international law, grant Israel unprecedented military aid and deny Palestinians rights. Anyone who questioned unconditional support for Israel, even in the mildest terms, became the target of relentless smear campaigns. Lobbying for Zionism on Both Sides of the Atlantic shows us how an unassailable consensus was built – and how it might be dismantled.
